College and Career Exploration

Each fall and spring, College Campus Tours are offered to MAA students—usually made available to juniors and seniors. These trips are within the Portland Metro area and visit the Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA), Portland State University College of Art and Design, and Art Institute of Portland. In addition, all MAA students are offered field trips to enjoy various theatre, drama and musical performances each year.

Our talented team of counselors also offers lots of support. In line with the American School Counselor Association's comprehensive counseling model, we offer comprehensive services in academic, personal/social, and college and career capacities.

Aspire

ASPIRE (Access to Student assistance Programs In Reach of Everyone) is Oregon’s mentoring program that helps students access post-high school education options, admission and financial aid information. The program began at MAA/MHS in 2011, with MAA supporting the coordinator and students and staff working closely with volunteers in the Center.
